Head Chef
Our client offers facilities management services for corporate, education facilities and commercial properties in Singapore and overseas.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- You will plan, co-ordinate and supervise the preparation and production of meals for patients and special functions
- Accountable for food cost management, menu planning, as well as the development and creation of new products to meet customer’s needs, when required.
- Provide leadership to manage an efficient kitchen operation, whilst maintaining effective employee relations.
- Conduct frequent checks in sections with regards to food preparation and quality.
- Ensure that operations team adhere to sanitation, food safety and hygiene standards
- Scheduling of roster of team members.
- Provide on-the-job training for kitchen staff.
- Assisting the Unit Manager to provide quality information for month end reports.
- Hospital environment
- Perform other ad-hoc duties as and when required.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Certificate / Diploma from Culinary Training Centre / SHATEC is an advantage
- 10 years of experience in cooking and at least 5 years in a supervisory position
- Able to converse and write in English
- Good ability and willingness to learn.
- Willing and able to assist working for long and on weekends and also public holidays.
- Able to handle both frontline and backend Food operations
- Previous experience in hospital will be at an advantage
- Work at Kent Ridge area
