CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Conduct and coordinate regular on-site inspections to audit physical conditions, safe work practices and system compliances
• Conduct regular physical inspection on all equipments/ machineries and hand tools
• Advice and intervene on unsafe act / condition and violation
• Conduct daily and monthly toolbox talks to workforce
• Prepare safety orientation, safety training and job site procedures. Direct or assist in the development of specialized education and training materials. Conduct safety health and environmental training to increase the awareness of personnel
• Conduct accident / incident investigation and work with management to prepare comprehensive recommendations for corrective active to eliminate or minimize future recurrences.
• Preparation and submission of weekly and monthly report
• Develop strong working relationships with contractor and sub-contractor personnel
• Maintain proper upkeep of SHE documents
• Plan and organized safety enhancement activities such as safety days, rewarding program and etc.
• Maintain proper upkeep of SHE documents
• Perform the duties of WSHO when required
• Liaises with Consultants and enforcement agencies on WSH issues
• Performs other duties as assigned
  

PERIODIC DUTIES:

• Facilitates WSH Committee meeting
• Attends Safety and Health Coordination meetings
• Attends WSH Coordination meetings held at head-office
• Attends WSH Joint-Inspections at head-office 
  

REQUIREMENTS:

• Possesses at least Advanced Certificate In WSH
• GCE ‘O’ Level
• Minimum 2 years relevant work experience in construction sites, with 2 years experiences in the airport construction work
• Good working knowledge of OHSAS 18001 & ISO14001
