RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assisting Surgeons and Doctors in Operating Theatre and carry out treatments and investigations as ordered by the doctors and ward rounds
• Assist with the management of the Operating Theatre, OT equipment and readiness of supplies, and scheduling of staff
• Perform pre and post operating procedures / treatments and nursing care for patients
• Supervise, train, guide and evaluate work performed by junior staff and ensure that the standards of their performance conform with the quality assurance criteria of the unit in order to maintain high quality patient care
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment according to Infection Control guidelines
• Assist the Nursing Management to ensure smooth and effective operations of the department
• Assist in PACU / Day Ward, and to lesser extent the clinic and ward when necessary
• Be a champion of continual improvement, patient safety and privacy needs are met

REQUIREMENTS:

• SNB Registered Nurse with post-basic certification in Operating Theatre
• Possess at least 2 years of post-basic experience in Operating Theatre
• Must be able to discharge duties in a caring and tactful manner
• Able to communicate effectively and work as a team
• Independent and positive personality
• Ward and Clinic Management experience is an advantage
• Salary: $3,500 – $4,000 per month (Subject to experience & qualifications)
