Assistant Mechanical Engineer (Jurong Island)
Responsibilities:
- Support the Power Plant in meeting contractual, technical and commercial set-up and operations
- Supervise preventive and corrective maintenance carried out for all plant equipment and utilities
- Perform frontline troubleshooting on plane equipment defects and failure to maintain high availability
- Provide necessary guidance and advice to maintenance staff or external contractor to execute the maintenance work in a good engineering manner
- Perform daily maintenance manpower planning and allocation
- Maintain and update maintenance data and records for all plant equipment and utilities
- Check that PPE are provided and subordinates are utilizing it by executing works with all safety precautions
- Additional tasks and responsibilities as assigned by Power Plant management
Requirements:
- Possess a degree or diploma in a relevant Engineering discipline with at least 3 years of working experience in Power Plant ideally in a CCPP
- A Second Grade Steam Engineer Certificate issued by the Ministry of Manpower will be advantageous
- Experienced involvement in technical aspects of Power Plant maintenance
- Prior experience in the erection, commissioning and initial start-up phases of a modern Power Plant is an advantage
- Analytical with good command of written and spoken English
- Self-motivated, independent and is a team player
- Position is based at Jurong Island. Transport will be provided at Jurong East MRT station
