RESPONSIBILITIES:

This position is in the newly formed Product Incubator & Innovation department housed within Digital department, the technology and innovation arm of our client.

• Experience in delivering software solutions on time, within budget and of good quality
• Ability to build Minimal Viable Products (MVP) to test proof-of-concepts, so full stack development experience is highly advantageous
• Desire to interact directly with business operations and a willingness to understand existing systems
• Participate in decision-making and should demonstrate expertise on technical and design choices
• Good written and verbal communication skills and be able to work effectively in a fast paced startup-like environment
• Work with other development and product team members to understand the business processes to develop best web systems
• Passionate about building solutions around an existing identified problem. You should fall in love with the problem, not the solution

REQUIREMENTS:

• Strong expertise on PHP, Yii, Laravel or similar framework
• Proficiency with LAMP (Linux, Apache, MySQL, PHP) stack
• Experience with ELK Stack
• Strong expertise on Unix/Linux scripts and server management
• Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS) platform and services
• Strong expertise on JavaScript that adheres best practices
• Ability to learn and solve software problems beyond your expertise
• Startup mentality is required
• Passionate, ability to learn on your own should be in your heart
• Modern web application design patterns, such as server or client side MVC
• NodeJS is an added advantage
• Expertise in JAVA is a plus
• Familiarity and experience with agile development (e.g. SCRUM, Lean Startup approach)
• Up-to-date with best practices and trending web & mobile technologies
