RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Provide advice and consultation to stakeholders and as well as the management to ensure that works carries out are in full compliance with the regulations, standards and practices
• Conduct and coordinate regular on-site inspections to audit physical conditions, safe work practices and system compliances
• Develop strategies to capitalize on trend/ progress improvements based on Safety Health and Environmental data
• Identify and evaluate hazardous conditions and practices in the workplace. Undertake surveys to identify and evaluate occupational safety health and environmental conditions.
• Prepare safety orientation, safety training and job site procedures. Direct or assist in the development of specialized education and training materials. Conduct safety health and environmental training to increase the awareness of personnel
• Conduct accident / incident investigation and work with management to prepare comprehensive recommendations for corrective active to eliminate or minimize future recurrences.
• Preparation and submission of weekly and monthly report
• Organized and conduct daily and monthly toolbox talk to workforce
• Develop strong working relationships with contractor and sub-contractor personnel
• Maintain proper upkeep of SHE documents
• Partake in all internal and external system audit
• Liaises with the Consultants and / or enforcement agencies on WSH matters
• Initiate and organized regular safety health and environmental meeting with stakeholders
• Plan and organized safety enhancement activities such as safety days, rewarding program and etc.
• Performs other duties as assigned by the Group HSE Manager

PERIODIC DUTIES:

• Facilitates WSH Committee meetings
• Attends Safety & Health Coordination meetings
• Attends WSH Coordination meetings held at head-office
• Attends WSH Joint-Inspections at head-office

REQUIREMENTS:

• Reporting to Senior/Project Manager
• Diploma in Engineering or equivalent
• Possesses at least Specialist Diploma in WSH
• Registered WSHO and ECO with MOM
• Minimum 4 years’ relevant experience in the construction industry
• Good working knowledge of OHSAS 18001 & ISO14001
• Salary depend on experience and qualification
