Our Client is one of Singapore’s leading infrastructure and civil engineering service providers specializing in reclamation and shore protection works.

Since they embarked on their transformation journey, our client has grown from a construction company with single focus in civil engineering into an integrated construction player with businesses in civil engineering, precast and energy infrastructure.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Accountable for overall performance of the project
• Responsible for planning and deployment of resources such as manpower, machinery, equipment and material
• Responsible for workplace safety and health of employees at project site
• Ensure project is completed within the specific time and budget and meet all clients’ and quality, environmental, health and safety requirements
• Ensure project disputes/clarifications are settled during the execution of project
• Ensure settlement of project final accounts at the end of the contract
• Approve procurement expenditures, petty cash and payments to subcontractors including communicating relevant quality, environmental and OHS procedures, and requirements to suppliers and subcontractors
• Liaise with clients, consultants, subcontractors, suppliers and government authorities on project-related issues, when necessary
• Mentor project site staff
• Attend site and project execution meetings and report on project matters
• Prepare and attend 6-monthly project budget presentation and review
• Prepare 6-monthly IMS audit reports
• Chair Safety and Health coordination meetings
• Performs other duties as assigned

REQUIREMENTS:

• Degree in Civil / Structural / Environmental Engineering recognized by Building and Construction Academy (BCA) and preferably recognized by Professional Engineering Board, Singapore
• Minimum 5 years relevant experience in the Construction Industry
• Dynamic, self-motivated, proactive, and results-oriented with a proven track record in the construction industry
• Excellent team spirit, strong technical and contractual competence, good interpersonal skills and with a “can-do” attitude as well as strong commercial and business acumen
