Finance Manager (Kallang Area)
Our Client is a leading souvenir photography services provider to theme parks, water parks, resorts and leisure attractions. With nearly 3,000 trained professionals working in over 300 partner sites worldwide, our Client ensures that they provide exceptional service as they aim to aid tourist attractions provide memorable keepsakes to its customers.
Due to business expansion, they now offer an excellent opportunity to highly skilled individuals to join their company as Finance Manager.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
General Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities
- Effectively manage the Finance activities of the company, ensuring compliance of all financial matters.
- Provide financial advice and analysis to the Directors and review and develop processes and standards to meet local and international regulatory requirements.
- Responsible for the entire financial operations including planning, controlling, managing and implementing finance decisions in the best interests of the company in the 4 jurisdictions of Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia & Thailand.
Finance and Accounting
- Responsible for safeguarding, implementing and taking care of accounting systems, policies and procedures to pass timely and correct accounting information (balance sheet and profit/loss statements).
- Preparation of monthly/annual management reports, provide data analysis, accounting schedules, bank and account reconciliations as well as returns within statutory time frames and regulations.
- Responsible for correctness of revenue accounting, and ensuring timely vendor payments.
- Responsible for correct registration of all business economics/financial processes and authorization controls in adherence to corporate internal control guidelines and local GAAP compliance.
- Prepare annual overhead and cost budget along with forecast & budgetary control /variance analysis.
- Responsible for liquidity planning and fund management.
- Develop and maintain policies and procedures to safeguard assets.
- Implement effective management of expenditure projects through cost and internal controls.
- Responsible for any payroll related systems/services for the company.
Statutory compliance
- Ensure adherence to compliance requirements in regard to corporate, withholding, service tax and VAT.
- Ensure that all legal, statutory and regulatory requirements are met and all statutory reports are submitted within the required time frame.
- Ensure that accounting procedures adhere to internal and external audit requirements
- Responsible for all insurance matters relating to the business
- Report on issues that are not being handled in accordance with company policies.
Reporting, Management information
- Analysis of results regarding profitability, turnover, yield, cost, staffing, discounts, pricing, investments, income/cost and third parties and report and advise the Directors regarding financial implications of commercial and operational decisions.
- Support and involvement in establishing and implementing business plans and departmental goals, objectives, policies, and operating procedures for the company.
- Responsible for proper follow-up and reporting to the Directors on the debtors/creditors position, credit evaluation and timely remittance of surpluses to designated company bank accounts.
- Active, supportive and initiating role in management of the business and pro-active in supplying information
Risk Management
- Monitor and update Directors on local requirements and new developments which may give rise to change in risk exposure or changes in working procedures / system modification.
- Implement proper credit control and evaluate suppliers for cost effectiveness and delivery.
- Follow up on default payments and litigated debts.
- Ensure E & A procedures, business contingency plan are established
Inventory Management and Control
- Initiate and maintain inventory controls, procedures and systems to achieve accurate physical and financial information.
- Carry out analysis of inventory transactions to identify problems/discrepancies and implement solutions of improved practices.
- Prepare and communicate regular reports to the Directors detailing the physical and financial status of inventory held by the company
