Public Relations Officer (Site-based)
Our client is a public listed company which has been long established in the construction industry. They are urgently looking to hire a Public Relations Officer to join their growing team.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage all public relations activities on site relating to the project which includes the following:
Media Communications
– Plan and implement media publicity programmes and supporting activities including spokesperson training
– Develop media fact-sheets about the project
– Develop and maintain a project photo database
– Manage media enquiries and updates through briefings, interviews, written responses and visits
– Prepare FAQs and manage media communications during crisis
Community Relations
– Develop strategies to promote good community relations
– Develop content, messages and promotional tools
– Organise events such as exhibitions to increase public awareness and community engagement
– Manage publications and newsletters to keep community informed about project developments
– Anticipate and address community enquiries, concerns, issues and feedback
Stakeholder Management
– Prepare updates and respond to client’s requests for information about project status
– Organise VIP briefings and visits
REQUIREMENTS:
- Diploma in Public Relations/Communications Studies or related field
- Minimum 5 years of experience working with the media and public. Prior experience working in the construction sector would be an advantage
- Self-motivated, responsible, independent and possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills
