Our client’s global corporate headquarters is located in Singapore, in the heart of the Asia-Pacific region. It has regional headquarters in the US (Milpitas, California), Europe (Dublin, Ireland) and Asia (Singapore).

RESPONSIBILITES:

You will work within the Advanced Design Group and focus on new concepts for future generation products. You will be developing mechanical designs for new concepts and bringing it all the way to mass production. These products could be within categories such as speakers, tablets or accessories. You will work closely with various cross-functional teams including Industrial Design, Hardware Engineering, Product Marketing etc.

You will be involved in brainstorming ideas for product structures, defining PCB outlines, rapid prototyping for proof-of-concept, designing functional working prototypes for validation and ensuring the final product is friendly for manufacture. You should possess a flair for problem-solving, experimenting and having the tenacity to follow through on ideas even under the influence of tough constraints. This job is for you if you are really passionate about being in charge of the details in making ideas happen.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Degree / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or its equivalent.
• Experience with a 3D CAD tool, (ProE preferred)
• Prior experience in consumer electronics
• Ability in plastic and metal part design
• Chinese speaking as require to communicate with Vendor from China

PREFERRED:

• Knowledge in flex circuits, printed circuit boards, material science is beneficial
• Experience in Design for Manufacturability (DFM), and Design for Assembly (DFA)
• Disciplined in GD&T practices
• Hands on tinkerer
• Enjoys working in a quick-changing fast pace “startup” environment.
• Results and deadline driven
